Abstract
Using femto-second Z-scan measurements, third-order nonlinearities of glasses in TeO2–Bi2O3–TiO2 ternary system were investigated at 800 nm. Their relationships between linear optics represented by linear refractive indexes n0 and optical band gap Eopg were studied. Results show that non-linear index γ increases with increasing n0, the largest value of γ is 5.108 × 10−18 m2/W. Non-linear absorption which recognized as two-photon absorption was resonantly enhanced when Eopg approached 3.1 eV, namely two-photon process.
