Abstract
⺠The translucent Yb3+ and Er3+ doped Lu2O3 ceramics composed of nanocrystalline grains were sintered. ⺠Significant difference in UC spectra measured for nanocrystalline powder and nanoceramic was found. ⺠The intensity ratio of the anti stokes transitions allows to determine the temperature of the nanoceramic. ⺠Measurement of intensity ratio of the UC bands in the nanoceramic may be applied in thermometry.
