Abstract
► We grown MnIn2S4 single crystals by the directional crystallization method. ► Observed photoluminescence spectra are due to a donor-acceptor pair recombination. ► We obtained the thermal activation energy of the suggested donor defect level. ► We assumed that radiative recombination is related to multiphonon processes. ► We estimate energy of the involved phonon and distance between donor and acceptor.
