Abstract
⺠Transparent glass ceramics containing Sr2GdF7 nanocrystals were fabricated. ⺠The conversion of Eu3+ ions to Eu2+ ions was observed. ⺠More rare earth ions entered into the low phonon energy Sr2GdF7 nanocrystals. ⺠Pure and bright white light emission was obtained in the glass ceramic.
