Abstract
A series of new, azo-carbazole based dyes was synthesized. Some of the compounds were converted to epoxy derivative. Blend samples were prepared by dissolution of the synthesized dyes in epoxy resin, based on bisphenol A and set in form of thin layers. Next, the samples underwent orientation in the external electric field (poling). Macroscopic non-linear susceptibilities χ2 and χ3 of the obtained samples were studied through electro-optic method based on Pockels and Kerr effects.
