Abstract
Monofunctional perfluorinated monomer is used to create a polymer stabilized liquid crystal composition. The dynamic studies of this compound show that its relaxation is accelerated by a factor of >10 compared to the pure liquid crystal. The light transmission shows unusual non monotonic voltage dependent scattering. This is related to the weak character of the polymer network and its weak interaction with liquid crystal molecules.
