Abstract
Tris(8-hydroxy quinoline)aluminum (Alq3) and tris(ruthenium bipyridile) chloride (Rubpy) were incorporated each one separately and together into various sol-gel matrices, such as: zirconium oxide (ZrO2), silicon oxide (SiO2), silica combined with glycid-oxypropyltrimethoxysilane (SiGl), and tin oxide (SnO2) prepared by the sol method. Steady state spectroscopy and photostability studies have been performed. The explanation of the photodecomposition is proposed.
