Abstract
The possibility to operate by piezooptical using external polarized UV-laser pulse light at 337 nm with a pulse duration about 1 ns is show. The maximal changes were observed at pump power density about 200 W/cm2 and correspond to changes of the piezooptical effect (about 6 × 10−14 m2/N). This was observed after 2 min of UV-laser treatment. The effect is substantially dependent on the backside donating groups. The possible mechanisms of the effect are discussed.
