Abstract
Ellipsometric studies of carbazole-containing polymer layers deposited onto ITO films on the Corning glass substrate are presented. The comparison of transmission coefficients data with those calculated from ellipsometric experiments allow us to conclude that both results are in good agreement. For all polymers studied, the spectral dependence of the refraction coefficient follows the Cauchy dispersion relation being, however, dependent on the film thickness. It appears that thinner films show a stronger dependence of refraction coefficient vs. wavelength suggesting an optical inhomogeneity of polymer layers.
