Abstract
Aimed at developing new Fe-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) with high saturation magnetization (Js), a new series of Fe-based BMG have been developed by fluxing treatment and J-quenching techniques. Among these Fe-based BMGs, (Fe90Co10)82P6C7B3Si2 BMG with the diameter 1.0 mm has been prepared and exhibited a very high Js of 1.65 T (176 emu g−1), which is the largest reported for Fe-based BMG so far. Additionally, the compositional dependence of glass formation ability and the magnetic properties has been discussed.
