Abstract
We considered the morphology and growth kinetics of a two-dimensional subsurface pore growing due to vacancy supersaturation on the surface of a polycrystal. We demonstrate that the pore develops narrow slits that propagate along the grain boundaries and lead to polycrystal disintegration by grain detachment.
