Abstract
A multilayered two-phase Ag–Cu composite containing interfaces with hetero-twin and cube-on-cube orientations was cold rolled to reveal the deformation structure and evolution of different interfaces. It is found that the hetero-twin interfaces deviate from the ideal twin orientation, but the cube-on-cube orientation relationship was retained after cold rolling. In addition, some deformation twins were found to form in both phases and these can cross the Ag/Cu interfaces continuously with a cube-on-cube orientation.
