Reply to comments on the absence of a stable hexagonal Laves phase modification (NbCr2) in the Nb–Cr system

Responding to the preceding comment by Nie, we show that our recently presented experimental evidence for the non-existence of a stable C14–NbCr2 Laves phase [1] does not contradict previous data from literature, including those brought forward by Nie. Instead, these older data should be reinterpreted.
