Abstract

The effect of simultaneous introduction of Al2O3 and B on the structure, soft magnetic, electrical and high-frequency characteristics of Fe51.1Co48.9B–Al2O3 nanogranular films was studied. The Al2O3 and B addition leads to the formation of a fine granular structure. The magnetic softness and high-frequency characteristics can be enhanced by simultaneously introducing a small amount of Al2O3 and B into the Fe51.1Co48.9 films. Compared with Fe65Co35B–Al2O3 films, the high-frequency properties are improved in the Fe51.1Co48.9B–Al2O3 films by increasing Co/(Fe + Co) ratio.

► Simultaneous introduction of Al2O3 and B into Fe51.1Co48.9 films. ► Enhanced magnetic softness, electrical, and high frequency properties. ► The strength of exchange coupling increases with increasing B content. ► High ferromagnetic resonant frequency and a large real part of permeability.
