Abstract
Isothermal torque relaxation measurements of ribbon and bulk glassy Pd40Cu30Ni10P20 samples (i) in the initial state, (ii) after nearly full structural relaxation and (iii) subsequent fast quenching from the supercooled liquid state have been performed. It has been found that while structural relaxation strongly decreases the torque relaxation rate, fast quenching of aged samples from the supercooled liquid state recovers the ability to stress relaxation. The degree of the recovery, however, strongly depends on the temperature of subsequent testing.
