Abstract
In the present study, the yield strength of a maraging steel was modeled using data gained by atom probe tomography. The influence of reverted austenite on the strength was considered as tensile tests on samples consisting of pure austenite were performed and subtracted from the overall curves. Furthermore, a new approach which considers the distribution of the particles sizes was used to describe the age-hardening phenomena. This leads to significantly improved agreement with the experimental data.
