Abstract
The effect of temperature on the cavity nucleation behavior of fine-grained Zn–22 wt.% Al alloy was investigated during superplastic deformation under a constant effective stress of 34 MPa. It was demonstrated that the cavity nucleation rate in the strain range investigated in this study was independent of the testing temperature and controlled only by the effective stress for superplastic deformation.
