Abstract
The thermal expansion behaviors of β-LiAlSiO4 particulate-reinforced Cu composites with different interfacial states were investigated. The results indicate that the interfacial state has a significant influence on the thermal expansion behaviors of the composites, and that the composite with an interfacial reaction has a lower and more stable coefficient of thermal expansion as the interfacial reaction can effectively improve the interfacial bonding strength and prevent local interfacial sliding. In particular, the thermal expansion of the β-LiAlSiO4 particulate in the composites is abnormal due to the Poisson effect.
