Abstract
Production of titanium foams using magnesium powders as spacer particles has been investigated. Titanium foams having porosities in the range 45–70% with an average pore size of around 525 μm have been manufactured. The resultant yield strength and elastic moduli values were observed to vary in the range 15–116 MPa and 0.42–8.8 GPa, respectively.
