Abstract
Strain path change is involved in uniaxial tension or compression tests of materials pre-deformed by equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE). It is shown to vary with the ECAE die angle and the testing direction, and contribute to the anisotropy of plastic responses (e.g. slip activities, yield stress, work-hardening or softening) during uniaxial loading.
