Abstract
Lattice deformations along the principal axes (η1, η2 and η3) associated with the B2–B19 transformation in Ti–30Ni–20Cu(at.%) alloy ribbons were found to be 0.9556, 0.9921 and 1.0482, respectively. The maximum recoverable elongation and transformation hysteresis associated with the B2–B19 transformation were 3.4% and 4 K, respectively. Superelastic recovery occurred in the temperature range 338–403 K.
