Abstract
It is found experimentally that a high hydrostatic pressure shifts the temperature of premartensitic transition in the near stoichiometric Ni2MnGa single crystal toward low temperatures with a rate of about −6 K/GPa. The values of volume effect accompanying this transition and the critical pressure for merging of the temperatures of premartensitic and martensitic transitions are evaluated.
