Abstract
An increase in expansion was affected by the addition of Al2O3 particles to Al foams but foam stability was only improved when Mg was also added. Enhanced wetting, due to reaction with Mg, enables the particles to be embedded in the cell walls, making them more effective at foam stabilization.
