Abstract
The five-parameter grain boundary analysis has been applied for the first time to a titanium alloy. The boundary distribution was related to the β-to-α phase transformation and to deformation twinning. There was a very strong planes texture, only partially related to twinning, which did not diminish during long-duration, low-temperature annealing.
