Abstract
The grain boundary character distribution and grain microstructure evolution in non-ferromagnetic anisotropic materials can be effectively influenced by means of magnetic annealing. The observed asymmetry of the crystallographic texture as well as of the individual grain orientation distribution is interpreted in terms of modified grain growth kinetics in the presence of a magnetic field.
