Abstract
We report an investigation on the evolution of annealing twins in nickel as a function of annealing temperature. The results tentatively suggest that twinning has its own kinetics and can take place independently of grain growth. Furthermore, once a certain value of %Σ3 is established it is not changed by grain growth.
