Abstract
Stress-induced martensitic transformation in Ni2MnGa has been investigated by compressive tests along [0 0 1] direction. We found that a new phase is induced by loading the uniaxial stress from the parent and intermediate phases. The critical stress required for inducing the new phase has been obtained as a function of temperature.
