Abstract
The segregation of alloying components and impurities to the surface and to the Al2O3/alloy interface after high temperature oxidation is examined and compared in stoichiometric and Ni-rich NiAl alloys with and without Pt addition. The relationship between surface/interface segregation and the role of Pt in enhancing Al2O3 scale adhesion is discussed.
