Abstract
This study reports on the flow behavior and microstructural development during the hot working of Ti–6Al–4V–H alloys. The hot working was performed in the temperature range 1023–1253 K at a strain rate of 0.01 s−1. The strengthening effect of hydrogen on the β phase and the softening effect of hydrogen on the α phase are discussed. Some optimizations of hydrogen content and deformation temperature are developed.
