Abstract
Coating titania-silica composite onto interstitial-free steel sheet has been attempted via the sol-gel process to create a corrosion-protective layer. The role of glycidoxypropyl trimethoxy silane in titania coating has been explained as an adhesion promoter for steel by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
