Abstract
The age hardening behaviour of some Fe-Al-Nb alloys is examined after initial solutionising of the Nb at high temperature. Hardening occurs near 500-600 °C and is related to the appearance of a two-phase, ordered-plus-disordered state, rather than to precipitation of Nb-rich precipitates.
