Abstract
A Mo–Si–B solid solution alloy was evaluated in compression at 1000 °C and 1200 °C and its response is compared to those of pure Mo and a two-phase Mo–Si–B alloy. The solid solution strengthening capacity of Si is confirmed and the role of the matrix in strengthening the two-phase alloy is elucidated.
