Abstract
Damage by void nucleation at martensite particles in a low-carbon bainitic steel occurs at a true tensile strain of 0.90 ± 0.05. Several void-nucleation models are considered, and the strength of the martensite–ferrite interface is determined to be 2.4–2.5 GPa.
