Abstract
The powdering resistance of industrially produced galvannealed coating on interstitial-free steel is improved by using lower galvannealing power (lower strip temperature) during the galvannealing operation. This is mainly due to the formation of an almost continuous {0 1 .3}〈uv.w〉 fiber and a lower amount of iron present in the coating layer.
