Abstract
This paper reports on equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) simulations and experiments in laboratory-cast Al–4%Cu alloy, in the T4 condition. Experimental textures were compared with simulations performed by self-consistent micromechanical models and finite element methods. Grain fragmentation was accounted for by grain subdivision and reorientation of grain axes.
