Abstract
The creep equation in the present paper is the improved stress-dependent energy-barrier model. The improvement over the standard model is based presumably on the assumption that the application of a stress also affects the energy barrier to be overcome when a local region transitions from the initial to the final state. The apparent activation energy of approximately 610–645 kJ mol−1 is the stress-dependent activation energy of the slowest, dominant rate-controlling process of the proposed multiple creep mechanisms.
