Abstract
The optical absorption and photoluminescence of N-(p-R-phenacyl)-1,10-phenanthrolinium bromides (R=H, CH3, OCH3, NO2, Cl), in thin films, are investigated. The optical gap lay between 2.36 and 2.44Â eV. The vibration structures of the HOMO and LUMO states are determined by â¼0.20 and 0.40Â eV phonons, respectively.
