Abstract
Barium aluminosilicate (BAS) glass–ceramic composites reinforced with multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were fabricated by hot-pressing. The results showed that BAS glass–ceramic served as an effective liquid phase sintering aid to promote the densification of the composites. The incorporation of MWNTs could significantly improve the mechanical properties of the BAS matrix.
