Abstract
⺠C/C-SiC brake composites were fabricated by chemical vapour infiltration combined with liquid silicon infiltration. ⺠The density of C/C-SiC was 2.2 g cmâ3 with 6.4% open porosity. ⺠The flexural and compressive strength of C/C-SiC can reach to 174 and 241 MPa, respectively. ⺠C/C-SiC with steel opposing material shown advanced tribology.
