Abstract

We report the synthesis of CaMoO4 micro/nanomaterials with persimmon-like shape and their growth mechanism. A rapid, facile and high-efficient microwave radiation technique is applied to synthesize three-dimensional materials with uniform size. The morphologies of products are greatly influenced by kinetics of the reaction via changing the concentration of precursors as well as the reaction time. Subsequently, a novel growth mechanism is proposed on the basis of the shape evolution.
