Abstract
The structures of the new A1.5+xSbAl5O11.5 (AÂ =Â Sr, Ba) aluminates were determined ab initio by electron diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction and high resolution electron microscopy. They consist of Al Kagome layers connected through Al2O7 pillars and through layers of SbO6 and AlO4 polyhedra and layers of A2+ ions.
