Abstract
The Nd3−xDyxFe23−yCo6Moy (x = 0.5–3) compounds have been synthesized and characterized by Rietveld analysis of powder X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD). The results of XRD and thermomagnetic curves indicate that the compounds with x ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 are nearly single phase and crystallize in the Nd3(Fe,Ti)29-type structure. The lattice parameters and unit cell volume decrease with increasing Dy content due to the lanthanide contraction. The Curie temperature Tc is almost independent of the Dy content and the saturation magnetization Ms decreases with increasing Dy concentration.
