Abstract
⺠We developed a finite element model (FE model) for quench in MICE coupling magnet. ⺠This FE model can consider quench back phenomenon during quench process. ⺠The results of this FE model was consistent with that of a semi-empirical model. ⺠The effect of quench back on speeding up quench process were analyzed by this model. ⺠We predicted the quench evolution of the coupling magnet in detail by this FE model.
