Abstract
⺠A wicking of 60 mm liquid nitrogen was achieved with a â¼5 μm pore size metal mesh. ⺠The first reported liquid nitrogen wicking experiment in an open liquid nitrogen bath. ⺠Further investigation of using nano-structure for future liquid helium wicking. ⺠The technology significantly enhances the capillary performance in space environment. ⺠Enable next generation propellant management and thermal management in space.
