Monitoring Results of a Solar Process Heat System Installed at a Textile Company in Southern Germany

A solar process heat system was realized within the project “Soltex” (Solar process heat for a medium-sized textile industry company) and equipped with a detailed monitoring system. The solar process heat system is installed at the premise of a textile company located in the south of Germany providing hot water for different production processes. The solar collector field consists of parabolic trough collectors having a nominal collector power of 70 kWth and is installed with an east-west axis orientation on the roof of the building.The present paper will give a general overview of the system and the installed measurement equipment followed by a presentation of the operation results for the period of September 2013 to August 2014.
