Abstract
A new, experimental borehole thermal energy storage (BTES) has been constructed in Paskov, Czech Republic. The storage consists of 16 energy boreholes performed to the depth of 60 m. In the boreholes the excessive waste heat from the CHP unit is stored. In this paper the BTES design and results of the rock environment response to the BTES charging and resting phase are briefly presented.
