Abstract
In this paper, a method is developed to measure the social effort and social effect of ventures. A survey is conducted to collect data in order to search for a correlation between the two dimensions “social effort” and “social effect”. The findings from the survey indicate a linear correlation between the two. More importantly, we find that the ventures are spread in a continuous scatter on the two dimensions. The implication is that the division between social ventures and traditional ventures does not provide an accurate picture.
