Abstract

A low-cost and non-vacuum process by solvothermal method, spin-coating route and selenization process was demonstrated for fabrication of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin films. Firstly, the CIGS precursor nanoparticles were synthesized by solvothermal method. Subsequently, the CIGS films were synthesized via spin-coating and then selenization process. The obtained samples were systematically characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy (RS) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The phases of the CIGS precursor nanoparticles and films are typical chalcopyrite structure. The CIGS film structure is little distorted and considerably improved by post-selenization.
