Abstract
The frequency, sum of money and scope of transnational mergers made by Chinese firms are growing. This paper, based on the ESP paradigm in FDI, analyzes the impact of non-economic factors such as politics, law, national awareness, public opinion and the union's forces upon transnational mergers. In the meanwhile, the paper makes effort to propose some countermeasures.
