Abstract
SrTiO3 and CaMnO3-based bulk thermoelectric perovskite oxides have been systematically reviewed. The element doping as traditional modification is generally used for improving the figure of merit of oxide. Nanostructuring, nanocomposite and defect chemistry engineering are beginning to significantly enhance the thermoelectric performance, especially for SrTiO3 based oxide and more state-of-the-art values of figure of merit have been achieved. So nanostructuring, nanocomposite and combining doping and defect chemistry engineering can be developed to further optimize the thermoelectric performance of oxides as the effective methods. And then more significant breakthrough on high-temperature thermoelectric oxides will be achieved in future.
